Happy 2019!  Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and fun NYE!  We spent most of the holiday break relaxing with family, and it was just what we needed!

I got out of pajamas and into regular clothes one of those days and visited my friend and her adorable baby in the suburbs.  I received this fun coat from SheIn right before the holidays and have been wearing it non-stop.  It's made of super soft, great-quality material, and the pattern is a really unique addition to my closet full of solid coats (it also comes in black and check plaid).  It's not lined so it's best suited for fall and early winter, but I plan to layer it over heavy sweaters and vests to keep it useful in the dead of winter.

Also, it wouldn't be my first post of the new year if I didn't share my resolutions!
(see past resolutions here, here and here)

MORE COOKING // I'm setting a goal of trying 2 new recipes a month in an effort to expand my horizons and better my cooking skills.

SOCIAL MEDIA CLENSE // I check instagram WAY too much, and I have a bad habit of doing it a lot at my desk during the workday.  My goal this year is 'no instagram'at my desk', and I'm hoping that lessens my addiction a bit.

READ MORE // I really love reading, so I'm going to try and finish one book a month this year.  Would love any book recommendations!

LIMIT SPENDING // Last year I did a no spending cleanse in February, meaning I didn't buy any material items for myself and also limited luxury spending like coffees, manicures, taxis, etc, and it felt REALLY GOOD!  This year I want to ramp up my saving, so I'm going to try and follow those guidelines every other month.

What are your new years resolutions?

xo, Annelise

  1. Very inspiring ideas! This year I vow to volunteer to help those in need more often.
I agree to read more books, and spend less time viewing social media. Good luck!
