Photos taken in Fulton Market by Annie Hall of 'Living Laboratory'

This past weekend my co-worker and friend, Annie and I attended an ethical eating event put on by Allie Kushnir featuring food made by Betty Alper of Bot Bakery.  We sat down as a group and dined on a meal that was gluten-free, vegan and almost completely waste free.  Ethical eating, particularly waste free cooking, is a new-to-me concept with which I am totally on board.  The idea of using commonly discarded food scraps (carrot and citrus peels, seeds, etc) in your recipes so that nothing is going in the trash is just another way to be kind to this planet of ours.

Afterwards, Annie and I walked around Fulton Market and the West Loop and worked on our photography skills by taking pictures for each other's blogs!  I paired my new cozy peach sweater with some bright coral lipstick and my favorite red purse for one of my favorite color combos.  Also, I can't stop wearing these boots!  The chic pointed toe dresses up every outfit, and they're quite comfortable for the heel height.  I cannot recommend them enough!

Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

xo, Annelise
