For the first time in a long time, we've been in town with no big plans for the past few weekends in a row. It feels so nice to be able to live a little spontaneously and do what we want. This past weekend we were out running some errands and stumbled upon Nike's House of Go popup (next to Niketown on Michigan Ave) for the launch of their new 'React' shoe, going on for the month of March. It was a fun 30-minute excursion, and I think it's a great idea they give you the chance to wear the new shoes throughout the whole experience. They sure are comfortable but I personally don't like the color options....and isn't that what sneakers are all about these days - the colors and not the comfort or what they can do for you?!
Then we took the long way home to take photos by this ombre pastel backdrop that's masking the construction of a new restaurant called Pacific Standard Time (I found some info on it here). When it comes to dressing, I love a good pastel combination (one of my favorite pastel combo dresses last seen here). This time of year especially, dressing in pastels reminds me that spring is just around the corner.
xo, Annelise
