Day 2 in SF was another jam-packed day full of activities!  We woke up very early (thanks Central time!) so we decided to grab some pastries from Mr. Holmes Bakehouse.  They have that famous neon sign that says 'I got baked in San Francisco' but the sign was broken :(  We enjoyed our pastries while walking around the neighborhood and stumbled upon some really cool graffiti and wall art.  Then we took a cab over to Zazie for a more substantial meal.  I read this article a few months ago about the best brunch in every state and was so excited that out of the entire state of California, San Francisco had the winner - so Zazie was a must.  We enjoyed our meals (eggs Benedict la mer for Patrick, oatmeal pancakes and fruit for me) al fresco and it was simply lovely!  Next we explored the Cole Valley neighborhood and were in awe of the beautiful, elaborate homes.  We ended up walking along the famous Haight-Ashbury strip which we hadn't planned on but definitely something you need to do in SF!  We shopped around there as well as the Hayes Valley neighborhood for the rest of the day (we also snuck in a stop at the Painted Ladies for a quick Full House tribute, and walked through Chinatown).  Ironically enough, we spent the entire day shopping in shops that were unique to SF and in the end, we both bought something from Banana Republic (they're based out of California and the one in SF is their flagship store, so that was our excuse)!  We ended the day with a fabulous dinner at The Slanted Door in the Ferry Building.

This cold shoulder dress from Tobi and it was perfect for the busy day of shopping and exploring.  It was breezy and comfortable, and the amount of coverage was prefect for San Francisco's weather.

Thank you for reading!
