We have a few magnolia trees in our neighborhood that I have been anticipating for weeks and weeks - almost as much as the April the giraffe birth! Luckily, these trees are gorgeous at every step of the way. The buds and the blooms were absolutely lovely, but I think my favorite part is when they shed their petals and the sidewalk around them becomes a fairy tale petal-coated runway.
As I mentioned earlier, Patrick's parents visited us in Chicago last weekend. We had so much fun showing them our places of work, taking them to our favorite spots, and trying out new restaurants with them. On Friday we went to critically acclaimed Monteverde for dinner and it did not disappoint! We loved the small plates, shareable aspect of the menu because it allowed us to try so many of their delicious dishes. My favorites included the Lamb Ravioli and the Artichoke & Sunchoke Crostini.
I wore this outfit for dinner and felt like a rockstar. This powder blue bodysuit from Tobi is both comfortable and flattering, and the material (a silky-soft cotton) is great quality. I've been living in these Levi's jeans since I got them, so those were a no-brainer, and dressed them up with some sassy statement heels.
