Photos taken in Lakeview and at the Harold Washington Library
I've been wanting a different camera lens since pretty much the day I got my camera six years ago. The lens was bulky and heavy, and was too fancy for our novice camera capabilities. It served it's purpose for a long time, but we've been in need of a change. It was an overwhelming task because I know next to nothing about cameras; I just knew what I wanted the end result to look like. Furthermore, there are about a million options out there, and in this digital age, brick and mortar camera stores are hard to come by. After doing some research, I came across Central Camera Company in the Loop (I think it's one of the only camera stores in the city?!) and got the best service! I told the associate what I wanted my photos to look like and he knew exactly what to recommend. It was such a painless task, I have no idea what took us so long!
For those who are wondering, we use a Nikon D90 (which is now discontinued). Our previous lens was a Nikon Nikkor 18-105mm and our new lens is a Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm.
