I've been looking for new shoes to replace my Converse sneakers for a while now.  As classic as Converse sneakers are, I wanted something a little more refined and stylish this time around.  I wear them all the time on the weekends, frequently for walking to work, and when traveling so I wanted something that would look good no matter the outfit.  I was considering this pair and this pair but wanted to be able to try them on in person.  Then we were in Wicker Park last weekend and stopped in the TOMS store (they have a coffee bar in there and I was intrigued).  I saw these and immediately fell in love.  I've mentioned many times before my love of TOMS products, both for comfort and their mission, and these sneakers are no exception.  I love the simple design, the soft "Birch" colored nubuck, and the unexpected pattern on the heel.
