A striped shift dress and classic trench are two staples in my wardrobe, and I particularly like them paired together. When the weather is warm enough to expose my legs (hello pale-ness!), I wear this dress all the time. It's perfect for road trips, errands, lengthy brunches, exploring the city, etc. While the one I'm wearing is no longer available, this and this are similar options (that I'm also highly considering adding to my striped arsenal). I purchased this trench years ago and I'm so happy it's still available - it's a timeless piece and a great value.
I'm weirdly looking forward to the rainy spring ahead. While it's certainly not the easiest weather to dress for, I do like that it means everything is going to start blooming. And as long as you have a good umbrella and pair of rain boots (Hunter and Dav are my favorite brands), you can weather the storm ;)

You are so sweet!! Thank you, Julie! Happy Spring ;)
DeleteI'll admit that Chicago weather in the Springtime can be awful... but your blog makes it look like an opportunity for a stylish outing!
ReplyDeleteAmazing how a fancy umbrella can brighten up the day.
