Happy New Year!  I'm not one for making lofty resolutions, but with the turn of this new year, I feel the need to reevaluate my everyday habits and make some goals.  I'm making them black & white and writing them down, in hopes that I will better follow through with them!

1. Focus on the positive.  I used to think positivity or negativity were inherent personality traits and I was stuck with negativity.  However, as I get older I'm realizing they're actually habits and if I want to be more positive, I need to actively work on it.

2.  Shop smarter.  I want to focus more on investing in quality, timeless pieces rather than trendy, "now" styles.

3.  Take time for skincare.  I'd like to ramp up my skincare routine.  I want to take better care of both my face (facials, using anti-aging products) and my body (putting lotion on right after showering, exfoliating).

4.  Keep in touch.  I plan to do a better job of keeping in touch with friends and family on a more consistent basis.

5.  Stay informed.  I go through infrequent phases where I'm good about reading the newspaper, watching the news, etc, but I really want to make this a bigger part of my morning routine.

What are your resolutions for 2016?

xo, Annelise
