After one of the more brutal winters I can remember, the itch to be out outside and active is more prominent than ever! To get me through these last few weeks of this lingering cold weather, I put together a list of the things I want to achieve this spring/summer in Chicago, so that I'm sure to make the most of it. What's on your list?
- Rent a boat for a river cruise
- Explore the Osaka Garden
- Check out local flea markets
- Take a photography class
- Concerts at Ravinia
- Explore new neighborhoods (Pilsen and Hyde Park are at the top of my list) via Divvy bikes
- Go on an architectural boat tour
- Watch horse racing at Arlington Park
- Movies in the Park
- Explore other farmers markets
- Brewery and/or distillery tour
- Hang out in the Play Pen
- Spend a day picnicking in a park
- Go to the Botanic Garden
- Seek out neighborhood art festivals
- Dine al fresco as much as possible
- Fireworks at Navy Pier
- Go to a Sox (or Cubs) game after work
- Sunset sailboat ride
- Lollapalooza (just got tickets for day 1!
- Watch the sunrise over Lake Michigan
